“I have now made friends with a Man who isn't scared off by me letting my Crazy come out, and I don't really know if that's a good or a bad thing,”

Not sure what I just read. I get the sense that you are almost amused and experimenting with the edge of homelessness. Oddly it is comforting and I’m not afraid for you.

Though I might be projecting a bit, I grew up rich, new bmw at 17, but when I decided to commit to art at 20 I kissed that all goodbye. Iv lived in some pretty nasty slums. Once a thief broke into my lower east side hovel (ny) (rent was $375 a month) and couldn’t find anything to steal, I only had paintings and art materials, that were of no value to him. And in another slum walking back from the laundromat (where they scratched “out of order” on a washing machine’s enamel,) a group of local young men blocked my path trying to get me to cross the road to avoid them. Instead I walked straight up to them and when they didn’t make room I politely asked them to give way, which they did. For the remainder of the walk, I was surprisingly sympathetic to them. I was living in a slum by choice, doing it so I could paint 24/7, but what about them, they were born in a slum and might not ever have a way out.

Na definitely not amused or experimenting. I've been Homeless too many times this go round to find any amusement in it. Was just relating an interaction which took place because I have a habit of analyzing every interaction between humans that I have witnessed.

U had the appropriate response, because if U had shown any fear U would have been a target. Once humans are theown away & treated like animals they most often start to behave more & more like animals towards other humans. When U can hold your head up & look people in the eye no matter the circumstance, U will get the respect U give.
