That's why U have to face them, head on- something which most of us run from, until or unless we finally learn that the only way to gain true peace & happiness is by doing the internal work of learning & healing your demons. Unfortunately society teaches us the opposite, run from them, cover them up & pretend they don't exist, look outside yourself for; validation, peace, love, respect, happiness. If we are forever chasing that elusive goal, we aren't doing the real work to actually achieve the goal. And those demons lurk behind every fear and desire. Although facing what really scares you is tough, and you know you're getting close when you run into those thoughts where you start shaking, stammering, sweating, & trying to run from it. Then you're in a good space for learning.
And don't get me wrong I do believe it's a lifelong process, there's nothing about the Spiritual realm that's an instant gratification, 1 & done type of setup, this being another "problem" for most- if people go within & do the work, they will generally believe "That's it, I did it" only to be disillusioned later when the next lesson hits. On the flip side if U love learning & approach life with that attitude, each time U are Blessed with a new lesson, U realize U are stronger from the last 1s & U can be confident in your abilities to actually enjoy the ride🥰🥰💜💜☯️☯️🧿🧿🔥🔥

I have fought with personal demons, sorting out their lies and half-truths, and opposing their claims on my freedom. I have yet to find one interested in granting me anything that doesn’t serve them at my expense.

Demons are just vices so I suppose vices can lead one into quite a merry go round away from pure soul consciousness?
